Fire at a private hospital in Kolkata, no injury

Kolkata: A minor fire broke out at a private hospital in Kolkata on Sunday, but there was no report of any injury to anyone. The fire broke out in a machine in the child care unit of B P Poddar Hospital at New Alipore in Kolkata at 12.40 pm, fire brigade sources said.

There was no child admitted at the unit, the sources said adding that the hospital staff had themselves doused the minor fire before their personnel went with a fire engine.

No patient or any other person was affected due to the fire, the sources said.
