Fire at Swapnalok Complex

HYDERABAD: As many as 20 employees working in various business establishments were stranded on the terrace of the eight-storeyed Swapnalok Commercial complex in Secunderabad when a major fire occurred at a private logistic shop here Friday. The employees were later rescued by the fire officials from behind the building.According to fire officials, valuable logistic tools, computers and records were gutted when the Admiral Logistics and Ship cargo shop located on the third floor of the complex caught fire. Around 9 p.m., the office boy Sekhar noticed flames emanating from the shop. He immediately informed the shop owners and the fire brigade.Six fire tenders fought the flames for over an hour to bring the situation under control. Officials suspect that short circuit might have caused the fire. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
