Four bypasses on Karimnagar NH
Four bypasses on Karimnagar NH

The state government has sanctioned Rs 22.50 crore for land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation for construction of four bypasses on the Hyderabad-Karimnagar-Ramagundam four-lane road, Rajiv Rahadari, which is being laid in public-private partnership.

At the request of local MLAs and MPs, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has approved the proposal for building four bypasses at Pragnapur, Kuknoorpally, Sultanabad and Peddapalli towns.

With the construction of bypasses, the four towns will have hassle-free and smooth flow of vehicular traffic.  According to R&B officials, an earlier plan envisaged another bypass at Godavarikhani but the proposal was dropped because of the location of open cast coal mines there.

The roads and building department prepared preliminary estimates for laying  the four bypasses, totalling a length of 12 km, at Rs 30 crore.

The alignment for the bypasses has been approved and the survey will be taken up very soon.
