New Delhi: She made headlines for being a part of Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire'. The Oscar-winning film may have featured her as a homeless orphan, but the girl from Malad didn't take long to cut a distinct figure.
Besides gracing international magazine covers, the actress continues to be applauded for her fashion choices at international film festivals, fashion weeks and other high-profile events.
India's hottest export Freida, who has transformed into a style icon, was recently in the capital to launch Audi's new range of sports cars at Varun Bahl's show. On the runway in a short number and a towering pair of heels, Freida exuded poise and grace. And yes, she was bowled over by Varun's collection 'Flight' exhibited at Delhi Couture Week Day 3.
"I adored his collection. Some time back, Varun and I were discussing how a lot of times the outfits exhibited are either too loud or over the top. But the collection we saw in his show was not only subdued, but also classy and regal. The sari gowns which were exhibited were beautiful," she said.
Going by what Freida told us, the collection is wearable and a few outfits are a timeless addition to any wardrobe. "I'd really like to wear one of the sari gowns displayed to a wedding, important occasion and even at the red carpet. I can see myself wearing what was exhibited. And the models are so beautiful and tall, but I'm not. I think they carried off these outfits really well," she added.
