Gangjee makes Nationwide Tour cut in Chile
Gangjee, playing his second season on Nationwide, had five birdies against one bogey.

Santiago, Chile: Rahil Gangjee birdied his last two holes to ensure he was in a good position for a weekend charge as he carded a four-under 68 in the second round of the inaugural Chile Classic presented by Pacific Rubiales on the 2012 Nationwide Tour.

Opening with a modest even par 72 on first day, Gangjee, playing his second season on Nationwide, had five birdies against one bogey as he was four-under through two rounds and lying tied 35th moving up from overnight 82nd.

"I felt much better going into the second round than the first. The putts fell today much better than first round. By and large I felt confident from the very start," said Gangjee.

"I had two birdies on the front nine and then one more and closed with two birdies on last two holes. The six-footer on 18th was a bit tricky but it gave a good feeling going into the weekend," added Gangjee, who is playing his first event in US this season.

He birdied the third and the ninth and was three-under with a third birdie on 10th. A bogey on par-4 16th was a minor setback, but he quickly gathered steam with birdies on 17th and 18th.

Three rookies held the top three places as Paul Haley (64) was 13-under 131 at the Prince of Wales Golf and Country Club. He was followed by Chris De Forest (65) at 11-under and Alex Coe, who also had a hole-in-one shot 64 to go to 10-under.

Overnight leader James Nitties slipped to 15th with a second round 72 and he seven-under 135.
