GJM calls for Darjeeling bandh after leader fled
The GJM, the outfit to which Tamang belonged, have set a 24 hours deadline to bring back Nicole alive.

New Delhi: Hours after Nicole Tamang, one of the prime accused in the killing of Gorkha leader Madan Tamang, fled from the CID custody, the Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha (GJM) has called for a bandh starting from Sunday.

The GJM, the outfit to which Tamang belonged, have set a 24 hours deadline to bring back Nicole alive. GJM, in fact, alleges the police may have killed Nicole Tamang in a fake encounter.

The site is being inspected by the police right now.

Nicole Tamang, one of the prime accused in the killing of Gorkha leader Madan Tamang, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Gorkha League, has fled from CID custody.

Tamang was being held at a CID camp near Siliguri after being remanded to two week police custody by a Darjeeling court.

Tamang’s mobile was found from the murder site. Nikole is the member of the Central Committte of GJM.

Gorkha leader Madan Tamang, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Gorkha League, was stabbed to death in Darjeeling on May 21, 2010 (Friday).
