HYDERABAD: ESL Narasimhan will be sworn in afresh as Andhra Pradesh governor on May 3. Narasimhan’s term has been extended by five more years. He has been the governor of the state since January 2010.In an informal chat with reporters on Sunday, Narasimhan expressed happiness over getting a fresh term of his office.“I am happy over getting a second innings as governor and the opportunity to serve in Andhra Pradesh,’’ he said.Saying that governor’s job was not a one man show, Narasimhan said like in football and cricket all players should collectively participate in the game. Likewise, people of the state also should cooperate, he added. “The father will feel happy when his children are happy. As a governor I feel happy when the people of the state are happy,” Narasimhan said.Asked whether he was given the second term due to the prevailing political situation in the state, he said it was the Centre’s decision.The former police officer, Narasimhan said both the jobs were challenging and satisfactory. “I have enjoyed both the jobs,” he added.Asked about the challenges in the state, he said facing the challenges and problems was the essence of life.
