Grandparents Day held at KV, Pattom

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Grandparents’ Day was observed at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom on Saturday. The programme was meant to honour and pay respect to the grandparents of the students of primary section. K Chandrasekhar Babu, retired civil servant, and Dr Sreedevi, paediatrician, SUT Hospital, were the chief guests of the function held for the Shift I and Santakumar, Retired District Forms Officer, Department of Stationary and Publication, Kerala, was the chief guest of the function held for Shift II. This programme was held as per the specifications of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Common Minimum Programme for strengthening primary education. The grandparents had a gala time as they were treated to cultural performances by children of the primary section. Games were held for the grandparents who attended the function and prizes were given to the winners. C P Kumaran, Principal of the school, and V Joseph, headmaster of primary section, spoke at the function.
