HC gives government time till October 10

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday granted time till October 10, 2011, to the state government to furnish details of the Tsunami Rehabilitation Projects (TRPs) executed and the amount spent for each projects from the funds allotted by the Central Government.A Division Bench comprising Justice C N Ramachandran Nair and Justice P S Gopinathan passed the order while considering a petition filed by A K Stephen, president, Kerala Matsya Thozhilali Congress, alleging delay in implementing the projects.The petitioner submitted that even though the funds were granted by the Centre, the state government was not utilising the amount.The government has been delaying the projects on frivolous grounds.The case was posted to October 11 for the next hearing.
