BANGALORE: The High Court on Saturday issued emergent notices to the Union government and Appellate Tribunal For Electricity, New Delhi, over a petition seeking amendment to the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory (KER) Act.The petitioners, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) and D Subramani, pointed out that currently those facing problems with power tariff have to approach the only electricity appellate tribunal in New Delhi; they are charged a fee of `1 lakh if they are to file a case. ‘CBI To File Chargesheet’The HC on Saturday directed the CBI to file a charge sheet over the Rs 1.17-crore fraud case first before the CBI court and then with the High Court. The directive concerns two petitions filed by former ministers S N Krishnaiah Setty and D Sudhakar to quash FIR against them. The CBI and State Bank of Mysore filed a petition over a complaint by chief vigilance officer of SBM R D Naidu stating these ministers allegedly defrauded a nationalised bank by fabricating documents.
