Bangalore: The dreaded serial rapist and killer Psycho Shankar's who was on the run from the law was finally caught by the City Crime Branch (CCB) led by Inspector Ashok at the Kudlu Gate on Bangalore-Hosur Highway.
Bangalore police said that Shankar, who was on the run for five days, had suffered an injury on his leg, which restricted his movement considerably. Police sources said that Shankar was hiding in a bush near the prison after his escape from prison and so he was planning to rob a vehicle to flee.
Later, he hid himself in a house near Kudlu gate on Bangalore-Hosur highway. The police was tipped about his location by locals in the area following which police kept a close watch on the house for 10 hours. The criminal was caught when he came out for breakfast in the morning.
Police sources said that Shankar tried to escape again but was overpowered by the police.
