KOCHI: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the ice-cream parlour case on Saturday interrogated former Advocate General M K Damodaran. It is learnt that Damodaran denied the allegations levelled against him by K A Rauf, a close relative and former aide of Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty. The investigation team did not reveal the details of the interrogation. Rauf had raised the allegation that it was Damodaran, who was the then Advocate General, prepared an affidavit and legal advice in favour of Kunhalikutty.Reacting to the media, M K Damodaran said that a group in the CPM led by a senior leader was behind the move against him. He said that he was not maintaining a good relation with V S Achuthanandan. “A senior leader has been attacking me ever since I was appointed AG. Rauf acted and deposed against me as directed by this leader,” he said. Damodaran said that he would soon reveal who was this leader before the media.
