New Delhi: Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad will attend the Lok Sabha on Thursday, his first appearance in the House since being ‘banned’ by major airlines for assaulting a senior Air India official last month.
Reacting to reports that he chartered a flight to fly from Maharashtra to the national capital on Wednesday, Gaikwad said: “I am a poor man and I can't afford to charter a flight."

Gaikwad had last week attempted to book air tickets using different honorifics and spellings of his name, but his efforts were in vain. Ravindra Gaikwad, Professor Ravindra Gaikwad and Professor V Ravindra Gaikwad were a few names he used.
However, another BJP MP Sunil Gaikwad, who unfortunately shares the same last name as the Sena MP, was repeatedly stopped at security check points before boarding a flight. Also Read: Sena MP Gaikwad Forced to Take Train After Air India Cancels His Ticket Again
Air India has refused to fly the MP, following which other private airlines too refused to fly him. An FIR was also registered against him.
