If you are planning to go to Andhra Pradesh, then paying a visit to the Tirumala Temple for Darshan is a must, especially when the festival of Brahmotsavams of Srivari is about to commence. Ahead of the occasion, the devotees have been permitted to visit the Srivari Pushkarini, which had been closed for the past month.
As per Local 18, the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) had started repair work in the temple, ahead of Brahmotsavams of Srivari. Now, after a month, the devotees looking forward to a Darshan can also visit the Srivari Pushkarini, which was opened on Sunday, September 1.
To cleanse the holy Srivari Pushkarini, around 100 labourers were called from the Water Works Department. They worked days and nights to replace the water from the Pushkarini and cleanse it of the sand and dice accumulation from its bottom. According to more information given, the steps that lead to the waters are painted with a golden hue. Local18 reports further, that the Pushkarini was filled with around 1 crore litre of water and its repair work.
Last month, the Srivari Pushkarini Aarti was halted by the TTD. It was being performed daily ahead of the repair work. The devotees were not allowed to enter it for around a month. From September 1, the devotees will be able to take a bath at the place and spend time worshipping.
Srivari Pushkarini has installed the best recycling system, which can cleanse and reuse the water, according to reports. A percentage of water is being continuously reused and purified. However, during the first 10 days of the repair work, the Pushkarini was dewatered entirely for better renovation. They aimed to keep the water’s PH level at 7.
