THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Clearing the confusion over the role of DMRC and its former MD E Sreedharan in the implementation of Kochi Metro, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said here on Wednesday that Sreedharan’s will be the final word on matters concerning the project, including inviting global tender.Briefing reporters on the decisions of the Cabinet, Chandy said he had made it clear that Sreedharan would be there to offer his services for the implementation of the project.However, Sreedharan had some reservation earlier about heading the project. But this was cleared following their meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday.He said Sreedharan would attend Thursday’s Planning Board meeting and later he would have another meeting with the CM and Ministers of Industry, Finance and Railways.The state government wanted Sreedharan’s contributions in other sectors too, he said.
