Johnny Depp turns lyricist

Actor Johnny Depp's musical ambitions are on a new high as he is writing songs with Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.

Depp began his career as a musician before turning to acting. He recently recorded with the band Babybird and also directed one of their videos, reports a website.

"We've been hanging out here and there. He's someone I've admired greatly for such a long time. The idea of writing songs with him is a dream come true," Depp told news show Extra.
