LH Vanitha, Head of the Institution speaks to City Express about their unique features and how they are able to benefit students.According to you, is extra academic coaching necessary?Yes, it is necessary, because today’s education system is so rigid that it is impossible for teachers to give individual attention and time to students; most probably due to huge class strength. This lack of personal attention and time towards students is what leads to their stressed learning conditions and poor academic performance. Hence coaching institutes come to the aid of students. Then again, most of the coaching institutes, in the race of competition and demand, are creating the same situation as in a college through unlimited class strength thus becoming devoid of individual attention and simplified coaching techniques.So how did you think of bringing a change?ith eight years of teaching experience in various colleges, I saw students struggling to cope up with academics despite of quality teaching; reason being huge class strength. Hence I entered the field of tutoring and gradually established KIMS with a strong motto to stand on the policy ‘Quality Coaching with Limited Students per Batch’.At KIMS, knowledge is not only academics but beyond it. Here true knowledge means value based, career based and spiritual based education. To beat the heat of competition in the contemporary world, every student need to possess this three tier education which will directly or indirectly boost their self-confidence and this is possible only at KIMS. Further KIMS does not exploit students by giving unlimited admissions, rather admissions are limited batch-wise i.e., 15 students only per batch on first-cum-first-in basis.What are your goals?Our vision is to reach the true learners globally, not only by emphasising on academic results but also moulding their lives ethically, spiritually, confidently and positively during their journey in KIMS. Based on this vision, the students of  KIMS, at the end of their journey should walk out positively, competently and confidently about their shaped future. We want to promote one-to-one teaching, mainly emphasising on personal attention towards slow learners, tapping their talents, boosting self-confidence and guiding them towards the path of success. Our mission is also to impart professional and excellent coaching by integrating academic and all round career development techniques.What are the main achievements of KIMS?Though established only in 2010, KIMS has achieved tremendous academic results. All our students of Commerce Stream secured above 95 per cent and 80 per cent in their board and university exams.This achievement is on account of their endless efforts and stress free learning techniques. Students with back logs passed out in their papers with good percentage after joining KIMS.Students of Distance Education achieved desired percentage through regular coaching at our Institute. At the end of the day, what we look forward to in every academic year is interest to learn, stress-free endless efforts and desired results through a two-way process.
