HYDERABAD: Several Telangana Congress leaders have taken strong exception to their party MP (Vijayawada) Lagadapati Rajagopal's comments on state's bifurcation issue and his remarks against Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar.Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao said that the Vijayawada MP was resorting to false propaganda on bifurcation. It was not proper for Lagadapati to say that religious fundamentalism would go on unhindered after bifurcation of the state,'' he said.Seemandhra leaders like M Venkaiah Naidu (BJP) and K Narayana (CPI) favoured creation of Telangana but they were not being obstructed by integrationists."Till date we (both Telangana and Seemandhra people) have been living together. How will problems arise if we separate like brothers? Making provocative statements is not right. Our discipline should not be treated as weakness," Rao warned.Minister Danam Nagender urged Lagadapati not to make comments that Hyderabad would witness communal clashes. Peaceful atmosphere was prevailing in the city but it was being obstructed by agitations launched by TJAC. Lagadapati, should abide by whatever the decision taken by the central government on the issue, he said.Referring to Telangana ministers' visit to New Delhi Nagender quipped: "What did they achieve by it? They have no right to criticise us for not joining them. We (city ministers) will respond on T when the time comes."
