CHENNAI: Not looking for beauty alone, the hunt has begun for the healthiest man and woman in the city with the launch of the city’s first and only ‘health pageant’ titled Hale Chakra 2012 on Saturday.Claimed to be the city’s only health pageant, the event will be open for men and women in the age group between 20 and 40 and the focus will be on healthy lifestyle as well as the importance of being and feeling healthy, said the organisers during a press conference to mark World Health Day.The event would kick off with an IQ test by Lenovo, health examination by Global Hospitals, dental examination by Dr Smilez, fitness assessments by 99 Degree Fahrenheit, adventure sports session by the Wild Tribe, grooming sessions by Naturals Salon, and yoga sessions by 136.1 yoga studio.Louis Chong, executive director of Healthy World Lifestyle, Malaysia, and Arun Sharma, director of Sharma Brothers Retail, which is the exclusive distributor of Ogawa, said the competition featured an extensive range of gifts and prizes worth `5 lakh for winners and participants.In addition to the healthy man and healthy woman titles, Hale Chakra also would feature other subtitles that include Healthy Physique (male and female), Healthy Smilez (male and female), Healthy Minds (male and female), Tribal Prince and Princess, Fitness Pro (male and female) and Healthy Skin and Hair (male and female).Anybody with valid government identification could participate in the contest by filling up a form available at registration kiosks at shopping malls and public places. “We expect at least 3,000 to register for  the event of which, we will be screening 150 for the preliminary rounds.” The highest scorers would be crowned healthy man and healthy woman at a Grand Finale in May 2012.The registeration for the event is available online at www.chennaionline.com and further information can be availed by contacting 9841595202 and 9962290137.
