Lourdes hospital gets paediatric nephrology unit

KOCHI: A new paediatric nephrology unit was inaugurated at Lourdes Hospital here on Saturday by hospital director Fr Sabu Nedunilath.Santhwana Mental Health Clinic founder and director Fr Varghese Puthussery spoke on the occasion. Children with kidney ailments spoke about their disease, treatment and the related experiences. Dr Varghese Cherian, head of the paediatric unit, and Dr Binu Upendran, head of the nephrology unit, said the clinic had facilities to treat all kind of kidney ailments seen in children.
