Major Fire Breaks Out in Siliguri Foam Factory

New Delhi: A major fire broke out at a foam factor in Siliguri's Sevoke Road area on Monday. No casualty has been reported yet.

According to initial reports, fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control shortly.

A day earlier, five shops were gutted in fire in Tulopatty area of Bidhan Market. The cloth traders suffered a major loss as the winter clothes were gutted in the blaze.

The fire officials claimed that the fire started due to a short circuit and spread quickly as shops were built of wooden planks. An officer said that none of the shops had fire fighting equipment.
