MGU Youth festival begins

PATHANAMTHITTA: The five-day MG University Youth festival, Sargolsavam-2012, had a colourful start in Mar Osthathios Nagar (Municipal Stadium) in Tiruvalla on Wednesday. National film award-winner Salim Kumar inaugurated the festival. Delivering his inaugural address, Salimkumar said that the participants at the competitions should avoid overenthusiasm in winning prizes. Salimkumar said the talents should  aim to promote their reading habit. University Union chairman Jinesh George presided over the function. Prakash Babu delivered the condolence message on NSS president P K Narayana Panicker.
