Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday announced that all MISA prisoners held in the jails during emergency would get a monthly pension of Rs 12,000 from January this year.
Raje, while defending her budgetary provisions, said the previous Congress government had stopped the pension but the present BJP regime will again provide the MISA prisoners monthly pension of Rs 12,000 and a medical allowance of Rs 1200.
Fifty eight Trauma Centres would also be operationalised and equipped in the state to meet the challenges of road accidents, she announced.
A new investment policy would be made with a "customised package" to attract pharmaceutical industry having a turn over of Rs one lakh crore in the country, she said.
To promote higher education, new colleges would be opened in Rajgarh, Devgarh, Jhadole, and Baytu, she said, adding that monthly remuneration of one lakh trainees employed in the state since 2008 would be increased by 20 per cent from September 1, this year, Raje said.
Sulabh complexes for tourists, Kisan Bhawan for farmers, and Rooftop net metering scheme for solar energy set up in domestic areas in the state would be done in the current fiscal year, she said.
To abolish the double taxation, Raje said the imported hydraulic excavators, earth moving and mining machinery, mobile crane, hydraulic dumper would be exempted from entry tax.
She also announced that e-biz project would be a simple compliance of the government orders.
Labour department would also be put on on line service, she added.
To modernise the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Raje announced an extra-budgetary support of Rs 2 crore for its 8 ranges to buy video devices.
A recruitment of 125 officers and employees in the ACB would also be done, she added.
Raje announced to constitute three new municipal bodies in Itawa and Kishangarh Bas.
On tax rebate, she said the VAT on polyester filament yarn would be reduced from 5 to 2 per cent, but an entry tax of 2 per cent would be imposed.
Raje said that out of 1.15 crore households in villages, 85 lakh houses did not have toilets, hence the government would undertake a major project of "open defecation free" in 3,500 village panchayats in a phased manner and a budget would be earmarked for it.
She assured that the BJP government would provide jobs to 15 lakh youth and a new university of skills would be set up in the state.
A state sub-ordinate service commission would also be set up, she added.
On the introduction of reformed linked operations of private bus operators, she said no employee of the Rajasthan State Transport Corporation would be affected with the move.
Raje said her government wanted to recover RSRTC from huge financial losses by providing Rs 10 crore every month in the new format of reforms.
There was no dearth of funds on account of any drought situation due to poor monsoon, she said, adding the state got Rs 718.30 crore for drought, Rs 704.76 crore for floods and other calamities.
Earlier participating in the debate, Leader of Opposition Rameswhar Dudi criticised the state government, saying the BJP government was working on certain matters on malice intentions and taking political revenge against some Congress leaders.
