Netherlands: The date 6/6/06 will be the birthdate of several newborn babies and while many parents may not care when their child is born, some would not want their children to enter the world on a date that is synonymous with the Antichrist.
"Induce labour or hold out; that's what I would do. Who wants their kid to be born on 6-6-6? It's special, but maybe a little too special," says actor Liev Schreiber, who plays Ambassador Robert Thorn in The Omen.
Incidently, the movie will be ready for release on June 6, 2006, to cash in on the 666 phenomena.
Jose Maldonado, a Los Angeles resident, agrees with Schreiber and has said he would take action to change the due date if that were the case.
"Definitely I would change the due date if I had a child that was going to be born on that day, I would do whatever it took for that not to happen," said Maldonado.
While parents-to-be are apprehensive their children will have a 6/6/06 birthdate, couples in the Dutch town of Arnhem have been queuing up to have it as their wedding day.
Tuesdays are usually less busy for weddings than Saturdays and Sundays, but 17 couples have applied to marry in the Dutch city of Enschede on June 6.
Rotterdam usually sees six to eight weddings on June Tuesdays, but 14 have already been slated.
And in Arnhem, nine couples signed up for 6/6/06, far more than on any other Tuesday.
Friederieke Warburg, who will be presiding over the wedding of Karin Wolkenfelt and Bjorn Gertsen on Tuesday, says the number of weddings planned for that day is definitely unusual for Arnhem.
"It's absolutely not usual for a Tuesday. Usually on a Tuesday there are one or two weddings, sometimes none, so this is really special," she says.
For Karin and Bjorn, though, the date was simply easy to remember and looked neat on their wedding rings.
"We chose it because we think its a nice number on the wedding cards and the rings look nice with 06/06/06. That was the main reason for us. If other people are choosing this date because it has something to do with the devil, well it's their choice, but not ours," says Wolkenfelt.
They may think it will look nice on wedding photos, but are secretly hoping their union will not be cursed!
