THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM central committee member P K Sreemathi said here on Sunday that there would be more action against former CPM Kannur district secretary P Sasi.A party leader had raised charges of misbehaviour towards women against him, following which he was demoted to the CPM branch committee from the state committee. The allegations raised against Sasi were being seriously considered by the party and the state committee has already handed over the report to the central leadership, Sreemathi told reporters.The complaints against Sasi were reported within the party and hence the party decided to have a detailed inquiry into the allegations within the party framework.There was no need to have a public inquiry as there was no complaint against him with the police, she said.The CPM would not tolerate if any of its leaders were involved in any kind of activities that would bring damage to the party’s image.“Hence we strongly believe that the central committee would initiate action against Sasi who is facing charges for violation of morality,” she added.
