BANGALORE: A 40-year-old woman died and two others were injured after they were hit by a car while crossing the Mahadevapura ring road on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Mary, a resident of B Narayanapura, while the injured are, Mary’s daughter Ashwini (20) and Jagannath, a resident of Marathalli and an employee of a security agency.According to the police, Mary and Ashwini were crossing the road, while Jagannath was riding a bike when a car that was reportedly speeding hit Mary and Ashwini first and then hit Jagannath’s bike. The car came to a halt after it rammed into an electric pole. Mary was killed on the spot while the injured were admitted to a hospital, the police said.The car driver has been arrested by K R Pura traffic police have registered a case and are investigating.
