CHENNAI: With the stateowned Arasu Cable all set to roll out in the city soon, the Thamizhaga Cable TV Operators’ General Welfare Association on Thursday appealed to Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa to safeguard the livelihood of small operators.Speaking to reporters here, Sakilan, State president of the association, said, “While we welcome the State government’s move to roll out Arasu Cable in the capital city, we urge the CM to address the concerns of more than 1,500 small cable operators, who will loose their livelihood once the Arasu cable is launched.”“The rollout in the city should not deprive them off their revenues.and we appealed to the CM to include us for better delivery of Arasu Cable in the city”, Sakilan said.Besides, the association also urged the State government to fix `100 as monthly rent for cable services.
