New Delhi: The body of Lal Masjid top cleric, Abdul Rashid Ghazi, was buried at his ancestral village on Friday.

Ghazi had been killed by Pakistani security forces when they stormed the Lal Masjid on Tuesday. He was buried along with 70 of his followers, who died during the siege of the mosque.

Ghazi's elder brother Abdul Aziz led the prayers. A large crowd arrived to attend the funeral procession.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Supreme Court on Friday pulled up the government for not

submitting accurate details, including casualties, of the crackdown on Lal Masjid, and has ordered the release of all detained persons who were not wanted for specific cases.

A division bench, which was formed on July 9-- a day before the military operation against Lal Masjid, ordered the release of detainees not wanted by police immediately.

The government too is acting fast after Operation Silence finished and has tightened security fearing extremist backlash over the storming of the mosque, especially in the wake of the al-Qaeda urging Pakistanis to revolt against President Musharraf.

Police today detained three suspected suicide bombers and seized an explosive-laden car in NWFP, foiling reprisal attacks by Islamic militants.

Militants have launched a spate of attacks in the province since the mosque operation, leaving more than 30 people dead.
