TIRUPATI: A 70-member team of Japanese devotees of Lord Venkateswara met with the TTD Executive Officer, L V Subramanyam, here on Wednesday and requested him to conduct Srinivasa Kalyanams in Japan too.Responding positively to their plea, the EO said TTD has been performing Srinivasa Kalyanams in many places in the country and also abroad, for the past few years, with an intention to propagate Hindu sanatana dharma which states that, the region would be bestowed with peace and prosperity where celestial kalyanams were performed.Welcoming the Japanese devotees delegations, he suggested them to process it through proper channels, since it is a representation from another country. “Send your representation to Indian Embassy, which will forward it to the union government, which will pass it on to the state government and they will direct the TTD to organise the fete.Saying that Japan is one the world’s economic super power and in spite of horrible tsunami the Japanese had bounced back to their glorious state, within such a short span, with hard work” . It is heartening to receive a representation from your country and we will definitely look into your request.Elaborating about TTD’s pro-pilgrim activities, including free meals (Annaprasadam), free medication, free education etc, the EO said the primary motto of TTD is to promote Hindu sanatana dharma and for that we have been organising several religious, spiritual and cultural programmes through our wings including the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, Annamacharya Project, Dasa Sahitya Project, Alwar Divya Prabandha Project and Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC).TTD JEO, P Venkatrami Reddy, CVSO, M K Singh and others were present.
