It seems there is no respite from the rain fury in Tamil Nadu. The Met Department has warned of more showers in the next four days across the state. The Army and NDRF are on standby for rescue and relief operations in Chennai as several parts of the city remain inundated. Navy rescue teams have been deployed in the Gandhinagar area of the city. The Chennai Airport has been shut and all operations are on hold. Southern Railways have cancelled 31 trains and diverted another 11.
To help the stranded people in Tamil Nadu some people have started an online campaign on Twitter.
