PM Modi Targets Congress During Jharkhand Visit, Says 'Naamdaars' Abusing Rich to Gain Sympathy From Poor
The projects, inaugurated by PM Modi in Jharkhand, include the re-opening of a closed Sindri fertiliser factory at an estimated cost of Rs 4000 crore. He also laid foundation stones for constructing a 2400 MW thermal power project in Patratu.

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Friday laid foundations stones and initiated developmental projects amounting to more than Rs 27,000 crores in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.

The projects include re-opening the closed Sindri fertiliser factory at an estimated cost of Rs 4000 crore. PM Modi also laid foundation stones for constructing a 2400 MW thermal power project in Patratu and a supply of piped gas to residents of Ranchi.

A new airport and a regional centre of AIIMS in the city of Deogarh has also been inaugurated.

Addressing the media at the event, PM Modi said his government was committed to development and that the state, central government was doubling the pace of it.

The leader also mentioned his government’s efforts to electrify more than 18,000 villages which were “living in darkness even after 70 years of Independence” and vowed to connect each household under the Saubhagya scheme.

“It has become a fashion for few people to abuse the rich and gain the sympathy of the poor. I would like to know from those Naamdaars (one with a big name), who question Kaamdaars (focussed on work), as to who was the real beneficiary when the last village in India was electrified,” said Modi.

The PM also said that four crore houses, 32,000 of which are in Jharkhand, will have electricity soon.

Remembering Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s efforts in establishing a Urea factory in Sindri, PM Modi said he hoped the re-opening of the factory in the area would not only provide employment but also cheap fertiliser to the people of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh.

Capping his address, PM Modi said, "I am here to fight corruption and dishonesty. I will continue to do that."
