Children flocked to the Landmark, Citi Centre, for an afternoon of witchcraft and wizardry for an event titled, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Fun. It engaged children in creative activities such as making magic wands and wizard hats out of cardboard and newspaper. Not only did kids learn how to craft tools to help them in their studies at Hogwarts or their battle against the forces of Voldemort, they also had an opportunity to share supplies and work together to create their works.“It’s nice to see the children working together and sharing,” said one parent, “They also get to be creative and get their minds working.” It wasn’t all work though. The kids enjoyed it — the gluing, cutting and painting — as parents looked on. However, as the hats and wands began to take shape, the parents too started to get involved in making the crafts and were soon enjoying it as much as the children.“It’s fun!” said 10-year-old Vikash, while holding up his masterpieces. He said he was glad to have participated in this event and had made plenty of new friends when sharing the art supplies and materials.Kids were proud of their creations and were posing for pictures and reliving the battles of the wizarding world, hoping one day to board the Hogwarts Express themselves.
