Though the compensation was fixed at Rs 17 lakh per acre in a RPDAC meeting, United Action Committee (UAC), a proPosco outfit has demanded a hike. Special Land Acquisition Officer Nrusingh Swain said the 18 persons have been directed to collect their compensation.

The identification of betel vine labourers has been completed at Noliasahi village. The 134 labourers identified will receive their identity cards and maintenance allowance of Rs 2,250 per month, compensation and job cards.
