PUDUCHERRY: The Villianur police, on Tuesday, seized a car, suspected to be used as an illegal liquor vending outlet. After receiving information, police team intensified the surveillance in Katterikuppam and nearby areas.The team intercepted the vehicle upon which the occupants of the car took to their heels. The police team found 20 liters of rectified spirit, 30 empty bottles and 30 card board boxes, suspected to be used for production of spurious liquor. A search for the persons in the car was currently on.
