New Delhi: 'MTV Roadies' made the concept of reality shows popular in India. Infamous for bizarre tasks like bikini wax, pole dancing and foul language used by the hosts and contestants, 'Roadies' is back with a bang. At a time when most of the reality shows fade out after 3-4 seasons, ‘Roadies’ team is busy making their season ten more powerful.
Raghu Ram, senior supervising producer MTV India and Rannvijay Singh, winner of 'Roadies' season 1, have become an inseparable part of the show. Raghu and Rannvijay claim that they try to keep the show away from format fatigue and that is why 'Roadies' has managed to woo the audience for so long. Apart from selecting the contestants, hosting the show, they are also a part of the creative process.
In 'Roadies X', Raghu and Rannvijay will be seen competing with each other with their respective teams. While Raghu will chose from the best of ‘Roadies’ contestants so far, while Rannvijay will form a team with new faces. Auditions for the show have already begun. Pune and Delhi auditions are over. Raghu and Rannvijay will next test the contestants from Chandigarh and Hyderabad.
The surprises do not end here. Indian boxer Vijender Singh, who won a bronze in the Beijing Olympics, will also be a part of the 10th season. Vijender Singh, who appeared on the show during season 8, says that he really enjoyed the experience and wants to be a part of it again.
As being said, this time 'Roadies' team will not travel abroad and may start their journey from northeast.
Do you think Raghu and Rannvijay can make this the best season ever? Let's keep our finger crossed...
