KOCHI: The Rotary Club of Cochin Harbour is hosting an international programme ‘Rotary Youth Leadership Awards’ (RYLA) from September 29 to October 4. The programme will be inaugurated by Justice V R Krishna Iyer and the keynote address will be delivered by Former District Governor Rtn. Venugopal C Govind.RYLA 2011 will have youth from Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Germany, the USA, Bangladesh, Korea and from various states in India. The students will be taken to Munnar, where they will have intensive training programme designed for the development of youth leadership.The programme is planned in two phases. The inauguration of the programme will be held at Avenue Centre, Panampilly Nagar. “We have been conducting RYLA since 14 years, After 14 RYLAs we thought it is only proper to conduct an International RYLA to help many students from India and abroad, said RYLA chairman Rtn A B Sankarankutty.
