Saxena remanded to 15-day custody

CHENNAI: Sun Pictures COO Hansraj Saxena, who was rearrested by the police in connection with a complaint of cheating and criminal intimidation filed against him, was remanded to 15 days of judicial custody on Friday.On Thursday, Saravana Films distributor Shanmughavelu of Kondalampatti filed a plaint alleging that Saxena and his associate Iyyappan threatened him and extorted Rs 45 lakh for the Vishalstarrer Theeratha Vilayatu Pillai. The K K Nagar police registered a case against Saxena under Sections 420, 323, 324 and 506(2) and rearrested him.Earlier, he was arrested on the basis of a complaint of cheating to the tune of Rs 83 lakh lodged by T S Selvaraj, owner of Kandan Films in Salem town.
