HYDERABAD: Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar would hear disqualification petitions against 17 rebel MLAs (16 Congress and one PRP MLA) from Wednesday. It may be recalled that the speaker had issued notices to the 17 rebel MLAs against whom disqualification petitions were filed by the Congress and PRP legislature parties.He directed them to appear for an explanation to the disqualification petitions on January 18.These MLAs, who were with the Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, defied parties' whip and voted against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government during the no-confidence motion moved by the TDP.PRP MLA Bhuma Shobha Nagi Reddy submitted a fresh resignation along with her explanation.One Congress legislator Kapu Ramachandra Reddy met the speaker and informed him that he did not receive any whip from the Congress Legislature Party office.In this backdrop the Speaker has decided to personally hear from the rebel MLAs.Rebel MLAs B Shobha Nagi Reddy (PRP) and K Ramachandra Reddy (Congress) were asked to appear before the Speaker on Jan 18 followed by K Surekha, G Srikant Reddy, A Amarnath Reddy, B Srinivasa Reddy, G Babu Rao, D Dharmana Krishna Das (Jan 19), G Gurunath Reddy, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, Chennakeshva Reddy, M Prasada Raju, M Sucharita, P Ramakrishna Reddy (Jan 20)Pilli Subash Chandra Bose, K Srinivasulu and T Balaraju (Jan 21)
