KOCHI: As part of the ‘Ente Maram’ project, the Forest Department and Department of General Education are jointly organising a state-level cultural contest for schoolchildren. Essay writing, painting and versification competitions will be held at the event. The district-level competitions will be held on January 14 and on  February 5 state-level competitions will be held in Thiruvananthapuram. The competitions will be held in two sections- upper primary and high school. The topic for essay writing and versification will be informed in the due course. The first prize winner under each category at the district-level is eligible to participate in the state-level contest. A maximum number of six students from each school will be allowed to participate. For further details log on to www.keralaforest.org.
