Students recruited in placement drive

CHENNAI: About 555 students out of 650 final year students of  BS Abdur Rahman University were issued offer letters after the campus recruitment drive, recently.  The number amounts to 84.61 per cent for the year 2011-12. Those, who successfully got through campus interview, included students of various branches of BE and BTech, MBA, MCA and MTech. According to a release from the university, more than 60 companies visited their campus in 2011 – 12, from all major industries. Some of them included Microsoft India, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro Technologies, iNautix, iGATE Patni, L&T Infotech, Atos Origin, VA tech Wabag, Godrej & Boyce, L&T ECC, Caterpillar, Federal Bank, Subex World, Netafim, Jaro Education, Reliance Mutual Fund, ICICI Securities, GETIT  Info services and many more.The Highest Salary offered by Microsoft was `16 lakhs per annum, according to the release.
