According to the police, the complainant alleged that the corporator misbehaved with her and tried to deliberately touch her.
The Cyberabad police on Saturday registered a case against a TDP corporator Ummadi Venkateshwara from Vijayawada for allegedly misbehaving with a woman passenger onboard a Delhi-Hyderabad Air India flight.
According to the police, the complainant alleged that the corporator misbehaved with her and tried to deliberately touch her.
She complained to the Air India staff and also filed a complaint against the corporator in Shamshabad police station. Since it was a transit flight, the accused flew to Vijayawada before any action could be against him.
Police have registered a case under IPC 354 assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty, following the complaint.
