HYDERABAD: Congress MP from Bhongir in Nalgonda district Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy met Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar in Delhi on Thursday but refused to divulge the details of the discussion he had with her over his resignation. After meeting the speaker, Reddy merely said: “My conversation with the speaker is highly confidential.” Rajagopal Reddy was asked by the speaker to explain to her why he had submitted his resignation from the membership of the Lok Sabha.The speaker, while rejecting the resignations of all Telangana MPs, kept in pending that of Rajagopal Reddy. The Bhongir MP had said on Wednesday after a meeting with his colleagues that he did not understand why the speaker chose to keep his resignation pending while rejecting those of the others.From what he said after the meeting with the speaker it became clear that the young MP wanted the speaker not to accept his resignation.Had he pressed for his resignation which made in support of the Telangana cause, analysts said, the Bhongir MP would have gone to town trying to establish his Telangana credentials. Rajagopal Reddy, while describing his conversation with the speaker as confidential, said he remained committed to the Telangana cause.
