A terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces at Frasipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The anti-terror operation started in the south Kashmir district’s Muraan area in the wee hours of Thursday.
The operation began after a joint team of police and security forces got input about the presence of terrorists in that area. The entry and exit points in the area were sealed off.

They said the body of one terrorist has been recovered, and one more terrorist is believed to be trapped.
An exchange of fire has stopped, and searches are going on.
The slain terrorist has been identified as Danish, a resident of Srinagar’s Ellahibagh. He has been missing since March this year.
It is after almost 2 years a terrorist from Srinagar has been killed in an encounter with the security forces, sources said.
There have been a series of encounters between terrorists and security forces across Kashmir in the recent past in which many terrorists have been eliminated.
This gunfight came nearly a week after one terrorist was killed when the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district’s Uri.
