HYDERABAD: Unidentified persons stole a laptop and other valuables from the car belonging to former Andhra Pradesh governor, RD Bhandare's grandson. According to Punjagutta police, Rahul Surendra Bhandare, grandson of former AP governor RD Bhandare lodged a complaint on Monday stating that thieves broke into his Hyundai i20 (AP 10 AW 6803) parked at GVK mall on Saturday and escaped with laptop and `2,000 cash.
Rahul is a resident of Marredpally. His grandfather RD Bhandare was the AP governor from June 1976 to February 1977. Rahul informed that he had parked the car and gone to watch a movie at the mall. When he returned, he found the car doors open. "The parking lot security guards said they did not notice any one breaking into the vehicle," Punjagutta police said.
