New Delhi: The Anna effect has drawn people to Ramlila Maidan not only from India but from outside as well. Sunil Khaitan, an executive with Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong says he got on a flight and came directly to Delhi. Khaitan said, "My dad had an experience. He was trying to come to Hong Kong to meet me. He was unable to get a passport made because the guy who came home to interview him for verification did not want to give passport without paying a bribe."
And then there were many here who pledged never to pay a bribe again.
Also, Delhiites came forward setting up stalls; not to sell but to offer tea and snacks to people who have come from across the country. It's their way of contributing to Anna's cause.
Day 2 of Anna Hazare's fast at the Ramlila Maidan saw hundreds of people throng to see the man at the centre stage and whether they knew anything about the Jan Lokpal or not, excitement was at an all time high.
