TRS, Congress activists clash

ADILABAD: Activists of Telangana Rashtra Samiti attacked and damged the vehicle of Asifabad MLA Attram Sakku of the Congress at the Rebenna mandal headquarters on Sunday.
The incident occurred when the padayatra being undertaken by TRS MLA from Sirpur, Kavati Sammaiah, was entering Rabenna mandal on the way to Wankidi mandal via Asifabad mandal . Just around the same time, the Congress MLA from Asifabad was on his way to Mancherial and both the convoys came face to face.The TRS activists shouted Jai Telangana slogans and demanded the resignation of the Congress MLA, and even tried to attack his vehicle. Sakku said he would resign if the central government rejected the demand for Telangana state. Infuriated over the obstruction, he supporters tried to beat up the TRS MLA. This turned TRS activists angry and damage the windshield of Congress MLA's vehicle.
