Truck drivers daughter scores 93.5%

MYSORE: A truck driver’s daughter who scored 93.5 per cent in PUC Arts dreams of becoming an IAS officer.A student of Marimallappa College, Manasa wants to do BA in English Literature, History and Economics and then appear for civil services examination. She said her father Shankar N is a truck driver but the financial condition of the family did not affect her studies in any way. “He never said no to any of my requests for books or other study material. My mother Janaki and he encouraged me a lot,” said Manasa. She studied for a minimum of three hours everyday.
