New Delhi: In a relief for passengers at the airports, a proposal by the Civil Aviation Ministry states that in case a handbag does not have a security stamp, security officials can manually check bags at the boarding gates and allow the passengers to board the flights.

The move aims at ending the last minute panic situation at the airports. The ministry is also looking forward to introduce e-boarding passes at the airports.

There has been a buzz that the Narendra Modi government is planning revamp of the aviation industry. The Civil Aviation Ministry had in June made several proposals to the Prime Minster during a presentation to bring changes to the industry.
