Authorities are searching for suspects and MIT Police, Cambridge Police and state police are investigating the incident.
Cambridge: State police say a campus police officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting on the campus outside Boston.
State police spokesman Dave Procopio says the shooting took place about 10:30 pm outside an MIT building. The injured officer was described as a male but no further information about him was released. Procopio says authorities are searching for a suspect or suspects. No arrests have been made.
MIT police, Cambridge police and state police are involved in the investigation. About 11,000 people attend the prestigious school.
