Wheels of glory roll out in Whitefield

BANGALORE: Sparkling beauties from a bygone era rolled out on the streets of Whitefield. Value Designbuild Pvt Ltd (VDB) in association with The Whitefield Club organised The Classic and Vintage Car Rally on Sunday. The rally was flagged off by the chief guest, Dr ST Ramesh, IPS, Director General of Police, Karnataka in the presence of the Guest of Honour Lt General Arjun Ray (Retd) from the Forum Value Mall. The vehicles travelled to the site of the forthcoming residential development VDB Willow Farm from where it travelled along the inner roads of the Whitefield Export Import Zone before stopping at the Whitefield Club.  Jaguars, Daimlers, MGs, Mercedes, Austins, Rovers, Wolseley, Plymouth, Ford, Morris, Citroen, Chevy, Volkswagen, Beetles, Jeeps and many timeless machines participated in the rally.Sulaiman Jamal, Eddy Rodricks, Rajendran, Suresh, Thimaya, Subramaniam, Farhad Cariappa, Haseeb, Premnath and Dr Ravi Prakash were spotted cruising along the Whitefield Main Road.Koshy Varghese, President, the Whitefield Club and managing director, Value Designbuild Pvt Ltd said, “The Club is on a mission to provide its members and the residents of Whitefield, events that they enjoy participating in.  This 106 year old club is a part of the heritage of Whitefield of which we are extremely proud.”
